New Codex feature just became 10 times better. What if the AI tool you skipped because it was just for coders can now do your actual job? What if it

can pull your data, build your images, and even put up a live webpage for you? Why is OpenAI suddenly aiming Codex at people who have never written a

single line of code? And why is almost nobody talking about the one change that makes all of this way

easier? Stick with me because this update is bigger than it looks. I'm the digital avatar of Julian Goldie, and my whole job is helping you learn AI

tools and actually use them in your work, not just nod along and forget about them. The next few minutes I'm going to break down exactly what just

changed with Codex, why I think it became about 10 times more useful overnight, and the one small

feature buried in this update that fixes the most annoying thing about working with AI. That last one is going to change how you edit your work

forever. Let's get into it. So, here's what happened. OpenAI just did a live stream called Intelligence at Work, and they basically turned Codex into

a whole new thing. Up until now, most people thought of Codex as a coding tool. You write code, it helps.

Cool, but useless if you don't code. That picture is now wrong. Codex just hit over 5 million weekly users, more than six times since the desktop app

came out in February. And here's the part that matters most. People growing fastest on it are not developers. Knowledge workers, normal office folks,

are now about one in five users, and they're growing more than three times faster than the coders.

OpenAI noticed that, and they built three new things to lean right into it: plugins, annotations, and sites. Let me walk you through each one in plain

English because each one removes a real headache. Let's start plugins. This is the big one. Plugin is just a ready-made bundle. It packs in the right

apps, the right skills, and the right instructions for one type of job. So, Codex already knows how

to do that work without you setting up anything. OpenAI launched six of them. There's one for data analytics, one for creative production, one for

sales, one for product design, and two more built for specialist business teams. Together, these plugins connect 62 popular apps and come with 110

built-in skills off the box, no coding. Let me make that real. I used this to turn one short brief into a

whole set of promo images for the AI Profit Boardroom. I typed the idea out once and the Creative Production plugin pulled in tools like Figma and

Canva and built me campaign boards plus a few ad versions I could actually look at and choose from. That's the kind of content that pulls the right

people toward the AI Profit Boardroom and I didn't have to sit inside a design tool all afternoon to get

it. Here's another way I'd put it to work. I could use the Data Analytics plugin to look at which posts actually bring people into the AI Profit

Boardroom. I'd ask it in plain words, why sign-ups jumped one week and it would connect to the data, dig in, and hand me back a short report

explaining it. No spreadsheets, no formulas. That tells me exactly what to do more of to grow the AI Profit

Boardroom instead of me guessing. Now, stay with me because the second feature is the quiet hero of this whole update and it's the one I promised

would change how you edit. It's called Annotations. Here's the problem it kills. Before this, when you asked an AI to fix one little thing in a

document or a spreadsheet, it would often rewrite the whole thing. One small change and suddenly your

formatting is broken, your numbers moved, and it added mistakes in places you never touched. We've all rage quit over that. Annotations fixes it. Now,

you can highlight just the one piece you want changed. Codex locks onto only that part. It maps out what your document is actually made of, isolates

the exact bit you selected, and changes only that. Everything around it stays exactly how you left

it. So, if you highlight one chart or one block and say update this, it updates that and nothing else. Your styles, your layout, the rest of your

work, all untouched. That alone is worth the whole update because it means you can finally trust the AI to make small edits without blowing up your

file. And the third feature is Sites. This one's still in preview, but it's slick. Sites lets Codex take

what it made and put it up as a real live interactive webpage that you share with a single link. Not a file you download and email around. An actual

hosted page. Dashboards, simple internal tools, little apps, a basic landing page, all from your words, all shareable with a URL. OpenAI is even

teaming up with names like Wix, Replit, Lovable, and Figma to make this stronger. Right now, it's rolling

out for business and enterprise users. So, that's the three: plugins, annotations, sites. Before I show you the rest of what these unlock, I want to

talk to you about something because a lot of you are going to watch this and think, "Great, but where do I even start?" That feeling right there is

exactly why the AI Profit Boardroom exists. Inside, we've got step-by-step walk-throughs on getting

Codex set up and turning these new plugins on. So, you're not poking around in settings hoping you did it right. We run live coaching calls where you

can share your screen and ask why something isn't connecting and get an answer on the spot. There's a clear roadmap that takes you from day one all

the way to using Codex on real work. And we hand you the exact prompts that get good results, so you

skip the trial and error. If you jump into the AI Profit Boardroom right now, you walk straight into the fresh Codex material while this stuff is

brand new and most people haven't even touched it yet. That's the whole point of the AI Profit Boardroom. You learn it fast with help instead of

alone. Okay, back to it. Let me zoom out because the why behind this update is just as important as the what.

For a long time, every app you used had its own little AI button. Your design app, your data app, your notes app, all bolting AI on the side. The

problem is you're still the one jumping between 10 tools, copying things from one to the next. OpenAI is making a different bet. They want Codex to

sit on top of all your tools and run them for you from one place in plain language. You say what you want

and it reaches into the right apps to get it done. That's why these plugins matter. They're not little features. They're Codex learning the shape of a

real job and then doing the messy multi-step parts for you. And OpenAI isn't stopping at six. They've already said more plugins are coming including

ones for marketing strategy, strategy consulting, legal work, and more. They also said they want to

open it up so other companies can build and share their own plugins. So, this list is only going to get longer. The tool you're looking at today is

the smallest it will ever be. There's one more thing worth noting. OpenAI said they're putting Codex features inside the regular ChatGPT app in the

coming weeks. So, even if you never open the Codex app on its own, a lot of this is going to land right

where you already work. That's how seriously they're treating this. Now, let me show you how these pieces work together because that's where it gets

fun. This is what I do when one line on my AI Profit Boardroom welcome doc is wrong. Instead of making Codex redo the whole document and risk it

messing up the rest, I highlight just that one line and tell it what to change. Fixes only that piece and

leaves everything else exactly how I set it. So, my AI Profit Boardroom materials stay clean and I'm not stuck hunting down new mistakes it slipped in

somewhere else. And here's where Sites comes in. Ran this to spin up a simple page that shows people what they actually get inside the AI Profit

Boardroom. Codex took the text I gave it and turned it into a real live page I could share with one

link. No building it by hand, no waiting on anyone, no messing with hosting. Just a clean page that explains the AI Profit Boardroom and points people

to the right next step. See how that flows? One tool finds your answer, builds your asset, edits it cleanly, and publishes it. That's the leap. That's

why I keep saying this, got about 10 times more useful, not a little better. Went from a thing

coders use to a thing that does pieces of your day. So, here's what I want you to take away. Codex is not just for developers anymore and pretending

it is means you're leaving real time on the table. The plugins do the heavy multi-step work for a specific job. Annotations finally let you make small

edits without breaking everything. And Sites turns your work into something you can share with a

link in seconds. Go turn it on. Pick the plugin closest to your work. Try one small task with it today, not someday. If you want the full process,

SOPs, and 100-plus AI use cases like this one, join the AI Success Lab. Links in the comments and description. You'll get all the video notes from

there plus access to our community of 75,000 members who are crushing it with AI. And if you're about to

go try Codex yourself, here's the honest part. You're going to hit a wall. Plugin won't connect the first time or sites won't publish the way you

pictured or you'll burn an hour wrestling with annotations before it clicks. That's normal and it's exactly where most people quit. Inside the AI

Profit Boardroom, we get you past that fast with live calls where you can ask in real time, simple tutorials

for each of these new features, a road map so you always know your next move and the prompts that actually work for this tool. So instead of being

stuck, you're building. Come join us over at AI Profit Boardroom.com.
